Finally, a date with my surgeon

I finally got a date to have my left knee replaced! Just 2 weeks past the one year anniversary of the right knee replacement I get a new left one! I'd love to say I can't wait, but that would be a big, fat one. I just hope everything goes well.

The business has been doing very well. We have twice the employees we had when we moved into the new offices, and looking forward to adding another team. We aren't rich yet, but we are working on our second million. Cuz we gave up on the first! Seriously we are doing well.

Things to do so until next time....

And summer fades away into fall...

I love Fall. It's like God strips away the old in the fall, then cleans it all up with Winter and renews in with Spring. We then have summer to relax and enjoy it before Fall starts the process all over again.

We've been really busy with the new business. I'm glad, it helps me to have something to do, to be productive. I've found that I've been a whole lot less depressed and certainly a whole lot less bitchy. Ralph is thankful for that. For the first time in a really long time, I feel good -- at least mentally, when I wake up in the morning. My body's still cutting out on me, but my brain is in better working order!

Went and got the mess of hair I had going on cut today. Then came home and washed the gray out of it. I'm happy with it, boy does it look better.

The garden is nearly gone. The beans are done and pulled up, and the tomatoes are slowly but surely slowing down. I had a good crop of tomatoes this year. Didn't freeze or can any though, I dehydrated all of them that we didn't eat fresh. Yummy! I like to just head out to the garden with a salt shaker in my hand. I still have onions and leeks coming on and potatoes still growing away out there!

Got to get myself around and get ready for tomorrow, so until next time, take care.

Better every day

Today was a tough one at the office, I worked my considerable hiney off...at least I thought I had until I looked behind me... It's still there. Darn it. Anyway, we were busy, busy, busy --which is a good thing :) Business is going very, very well I'm glad to say.

Went camping last weekend. IN A TENT!!! That's funny cuz for years, I've sworn "I don't do ground". I still don't! Ralphie bought me a very nice raised queen sized airbed! It was wonderful. I liked it more than I like bed at home... guess it's time for a new mattress set. Anyhow, we had a wonderful time up on Hood's Canal on Puget Sound. It was gorgeous, even though it did rain a little while we were there. We had a great canopy of broad leaf maple trees over us and we stayed quite dry! I want to do it again... SOON!!!

It's good to be back on my good meds again, and I'm trying a new one out for the neurapathy. Neurontin sure hope it works, I've only had it for two days so I haven't noticed any improvement yet. Hope I do. Got to go fix dinner, so until next time...

Ok I admit it...

I'm in a funk. Worse than that I think. A while back, the doc took me off Lexapro and put me on Cymbalta because it isn't only an antidepressant, but it a great treatment for diabetic neuropathy... for a lot of people, unfortunately, I am not one of them. It isn't working as an antidepressant for me either. So I will be going back on the Lexapro.

I tend to hybernate when I get like this.... guess that is why it's been so long since I posted here. I'll try to do better.

What's been happening here? Well let's see. First off Ralph and I went into business with another couple. It's going great and we are busier than we expected to be! This is great news especially in light of the economic woes this country is in right now. Fortunately, we offer a service (advertising) that is necessary, and at a price businesses can afford. Secondly, we got our garden all in finally, and can't wait to start reaping the benefits of that! Third, we are both done with our terms as Presidents in our Eagles club, and because business has been so good, Ralph has stopped renting the kitchen at the club, so we are able to spend more time at home! Marcie bought a house for her and the girls. They signed on it today, it will be funded on Monday and she will be able to move in next week. Bob is doing well, don't see much of him this time of year. He goes camping a lot, so between working and that, he isn't around much.

That's it for now. I'm dead tired tonight so I think I will put me to bed.

Until next time....

SPRING HAS SPRUNG IN KELSO!!

What an absolutely gorgeous day it was Sunday! Got my garden tilled up, ready to rake out on Tuesday, till up again, then watch it get rained on for a week... wait for it to dry and probably have to till it again before we can plant. Along with that I planted Everbearing Strawberries, put up new stringer wires on my Everbearing Raspberries, started a ton of herb pots... lots of thyme, summer savory, fern dill, cilantro, flat leaf Italian parsley, curly leaf parsley, oregano. a new rosemary bush, lemon thyme, lemon balm, and some sage. I still have to get Basil, chives, garlic, and coriannder seeds for cumin going, but that will be an project for another day.

We have come to a few "delussions", my sister plants way to much zucchini so I won't be planting any of that. I will however have a few of the heartier winter squash... hubbard being one.. Also some danish or acorn squash, some spaghetti sqaush. amd some other odd varieties such as pattypans since the grand kids love eating flying saucers! We'll also have our pepper corner. those are a must have staple in or freezer! We love the green bell peppers, but even more we love the milder, sweeter red, orange and yellow varieties of bell peppers. Then of course we must have momma's jalapeno peppers, and Anahiem Chilis. Ralph said no carrots, parsnips, beets or turnips this year... poor sport. ok with me as long as we can buy some to put some up.

As with every year in the Fultz garden, there will be tons and tons o tomatoes!! We're even going to grow some of those topsy turvy tomatos this year. I love trying something new.I'm aslo goidn to plant cucumbers in buckets and weave them up the garage walls with heavy twine. trying to keep the slugs off them. Hope it works.

Eyes are very heavy thanks to Ambien so I'll shut up now and to bed while I can still walk up right ;)

Until next time I wish you lots of peace, love joy and happiness...

Whine, whine, whine...

Well, as they say... if wishes were horses, beggars would ride.... My dream house is somebody elses dream house :( They made a much bigger offer than ours and we weren't willing to meet or beat it, so house go POOF!

Guess I was meant to stay here in my little tiny house... Oh well, if it were meant to be, it would have happened. I have to admit though, I was sorely disappointed when we got the news.

Today I had to move the puppies... Ginny had 5... don't remember if I posted that or not... from the box they were in, into a pen. These guys are soooo stinkin' cute! The one little male we have is now sold to a real sweet elderly lady that just wants a companion/lap dog. He will so totally own her LOL And Marcie picked one of the little girls. She owns the tail end... she's paying for her from the back to the front! She comes nearly every day to visit the puppy, which she named Abbigail (Abby). Today she and her ex hubby Corey came by (no... they are just friends LOL). She had gone to Petco and bought Abby a bright, shiny, red collar and rhinestone letters (at 4.99 each) to spell out Abbigail. The collar is darn near bigger than the dog! She ended up taking it off her, cuz it was just too big. Won't be long until she will be able to wear it!

Ralph is still bent on buying a restaraunt/cafe/diner. He and his partner in crime went to Olympia the other day to get all the stuff done to form an LLP... limited liablility partnership. Now I have to send for the master license, but that was a start. I'm still not real excited about it, but will give him my support, just cuz I love the old guy.

Only a little while until the Royal Ridges Retreat. I cannot wait. I need this so badly. No phone, no computer, just good friends, good food, and the whirr of sewing machines. An excellent combo if you ask me!

Gotta run, I made Rae Jean an apple cobbler and it needs to come out of the oven. She's gonna be soooo surprised when she gets up from her lil nap!

Toodles...

March already??

Well, not for one more day, but still... it's March for crying out loud!! Why is it that the older I get the quicker time passes? When we are young, we want time to pass quickly, and when we get old, it just does. blahhhh....

We went and looked at a new house the other day. OMG! I'm in love. It's near Winlock in Lewis County just about 30 miles north of where we live now. I have lived in this teeny, tiny little house (only 704 sq ft so tiny is not a lie) for so long now that I am just ready to scream. Personally, I think that is partly to blame for this depression I've been in for the past few years. No where to put anything except on top of something else. Sometimes I swear that the walls move, slowly, but surely closing in on me. Anyway, about the house.... it is 2100 sq ft.... think I could live with that??? It's 3 bedrooms with an office. Two baths... OMG!! TWO!! It has an attached garage, and has a gigantic shop out back. It has two good sized loafing sheds, sits on almost 13 acres, is fenced and cross fenced. Has a huge garden spot, fruit trees, a grape arbor, a nice size plot of marion berries. They even have chickens, and say they go with the house! I would be able to have a couple of steers for meat, and maybe even have a couple of the miniature horses I have always wanted. Rae Jean says she wants two of those fainting goats. I said no. This is my dream and I hate goats. She thinks it would be fun to scare them and watch them faint. I hate goats more than my sister hates mice, but that would be mean and I'm just not mean... well, not that mean anyway! The house is 4 years old and has been well cared for. I can see me living there. Space, both inside and out. This is my dream, just leave me alone in it... right now it's all I have, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. If it's meant to be, it will happen. If not... I'll just learn to stack higher.

I can't believe it is nearly 5 am and I'm still wide awake. The dr. is playing around with my anti-depressants, and it is wreaking havoc on my sleep habits. I've always been a bit of an insomniac, but this is absolutely ridiculous. I need to get some sleep. So, I'm going to get off here, and try...

Until next time....
